At Safari Guide Services we believe in team work and every member of our staff is a highly talented and professional individual committed to running the best safaris in the industry – from our guides and chefs to our financial controller. Each one is skilled and proficient in his or her particular area of responsibility. We encourage skills building and provide ongoing in-house

training in order to constantly hone the abilities and prowess of each member of staff. As a result, this experienced team creates a dynamic company that benefits from the synergy of our considerable individual strengths and at the same time affords you the convenience of high quality, reliable safaris. We are proud of the fact that the bulk of our business is based on repeat custom or referrals from previously satisfied guests.

We take a full safari team along on our safaris to take care of all camp chores.

Our Back-up Safari Team

Joseph Mosheti -Safari Camp Manager

Joe with the beautiful big smile, has been with the company for seven years and as our safari camp manager he is responsible for ensuring that every safari is well stocked with all the right equipment, food and drinks as per our guests’ specific requirements. He is multi-talented and often drives the back-up vehicle and takes over cooking duties to produce outstanding meals when needed. Joe was born in the Okavango and poles his own mokoro on our Delta traverses.

Chaka – Chef

Chaka has been with SGS 5 years and is our naturally talented chef who produces unbelievably creative meals under challenging bush conditions. He was born in Maun, grew up in the Okavango and although a carpenter by trade, he far prefers the bush to factory life and will always be seen riding high up on the safari back-up vehicle, from where he has a bird’s eye view of the game and the bush he loves so well. He is responsible for the menus, food supplies and kitchen while on safari.

Jeremiah – Camp Assistant

Jeremiah has been with SGS for 5 years and is Joseph’s right hand man on safari and together they make sure that each camp is pulled down, moved and erected at a new destination on time for the guests’ arrival. He often takes over from Joe when he is out on different trip. He has learnt impressive cooking skills from Chaka and has ambitions to be a chef. This tall, quiet-spoken man with the regal bearing is always ready with a smile and a willing hand wherever required.

Anton – Chef

Anton is, alongside Chaka, a formidable chef who has the ability to create some truly stunning dishes out in the bush. Anton always has a friendly smile and is willing to lend a helping hand. With a brother also in the safari industry Anton is well versed in all things in the bush and is a great guy to chat with round the camp fire.

Kasane Office

Ruth

Ruth is our personal manager and also works closely with Jen in making sure all enquiries are looked after and that safaris are well planned and that they run smoothly. Should Jen not be immediately available to look after your enquiry then Ruth will take the best care of your needs.

Tutu

Every business needs an efficient financial controller and that’s what Tutu is to us. With a big happy smile and her gentle manner she effortlessly accomplishes her important duties of ensuring that every safari is correctly invoiced, keeping track of deposits and balance of payments owing, fluctuating bank rates as well as making certain that all our suppliers are paid on time.
