MOPANE adventure

A true wilderness safari for the adventurous explorer. The accommodation is in 2.5mx2.5m dome tents with shared shower and bush toilet facilities. These safaris are backed up by our experienced bush team that travel with you in the game viewing vehicle with a trailer pulling all camping equipment when moving between campsites. Comfortable camp beds and bedding ensure a good nights’ sleep while carefully planned camping spots ensure a great wilderness experience.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • Walk-in tents (2,5 x 2,5 m) with built-in floors, mosquito gauze on door and windows
  • Small shaded front verandah with door mats • Camp beds with mattresses (in a bedroll to keep bedding dust proof when moving camp)
  • Full linen (1 pillow, pillow case, sheets, duvet, duvet cover, 1 bath towel & 1 x light extra blanket)
  • Toiletries: (toilet paper only) Please bring all your additional toiletries
  • Please bring your own torch/flashlight for your tent and for use in camp
  • Shared shower (private portable shower filled on request with hot water by camp staff) or shower in public camp site
  • Shared bush toilet (toilet seat over a pre-dug pit with ash to fill in as you go) or toilets in public camp sites
  • Wash stands outside tent – one per tent – filled with hot water every morning
  • Gazebo – used at the discretion of the staff to provide shade & protection from the wind & rain
  • Dining table & chairs
  • Tableware: table cloths & paper napkins, durable melamine crockery, cutlery
  • All meals, including 2 course dinner
  • Limited Bar: bottled water & cordials, tea and coffee (we can take clients to a shop before we depart on safari to purchase any additional drinks.)
  • Limited staff complement to help with camp chores
  • Staff will travel with guests in same vehicle
  • Guests could be asked to assist the guide or staff with occasional camp chores such as collecting firewood or water, packing up camp, etc
  • Open game drive vehicles with shade roof, game viewing seats & long range fuel tanks
  • Seat 10 pax (3 per seat) plus driver/guide
  • Game drive vehicle pulls trailer with all camping equipment
  • Luggage space is restricted to approx 10-15 kg per person
  • Usually 2 activities per day

  • Linen: (x-tra blankets & pillows, hand towel, face cloth, change of linen during safari)
  • Drinks: beer, soft drinks, wine, alcoholic drinks. We take your group to shop for these additional drinks before we depart on safari.
